Code of Conduct
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Draft: these documents are under review and not yet final.
Hayaat Pakistan exists to help people at difficult moments. This Code applies to everyone who engages with us: on social media, by email, at events, and on our platform when it launches. Our team follows a more detailed internal version of the same standards.
1. Be respectful
Treat everyone with courtesy, whatever their background, gender, religion, ethnicity or views. Disagree with ideas, not people.
2. Be honest
Never post or send false or fake blood requests, and never spread misleading information about a patient, a donor or Hayaat Pakistan.
3. Protect people's privacy
Do not share a patient's or donor's personal details, photos or medical information without their permission. Do not make private messages public.
4. Blood is never for sale
Blood donation is voluntary and unpaid. Never offer, ask for or accept money, gifts or other rewards for blood.
5. No harassment or abuse
We do not accept any of the following:
- harassment, threats or bullying;
- hate speech or discrimination;
- unwanted personal or sexual advances;
- spam.
This applies in public and in private messages.
6. Don't impersonate us
Do not claim to act for Hayaat Pakistan unless we have authorized you in writing. Our team contacts people only from admin@hayaatpakistan.org or from our official accounts. Hayaat Pakistan will never ask you for money.
7. Leave medical decisions to professionals
Doctors and licensed blood banks decide who can donate and how blood is used. We do not give medical advice, and you should not rely on anyone in our community for it.
8. Reporting a concern
Email admin@hayaatpakistan.org with what happened, when, and any links or screenshots. You can also report concerns about a member of our team. Team members who are not involved will handle it, including when the concern is about our President.
We will not treat anyone unfairly for reporting in good faith. You can always report a crime directly to the police or other authorities.
9. What we may do
When this Code is broken we may:
- remove content;
- block an account;
- stop working with someone;
- report serious matters to the authorities.
10. Our commitment
We will treat every report seriously and fairly, and keep it as private as we can. We may need to share some details to look into a report properly, to protect someone from harm, or where the law requires.
